Gucci Mane
Rapper Gucci Mane is sentenced in Atlanta for violating his parole.
Gucci Mane was taken away in handcuffs on Thursday, November 12th by the authorities because of a parole violation. He was later on sentenced to 12 months in jail.
All this started because of an assault charge back in 2005. He apparently assaulted a nightclub promoter and was sentenced to 600 hours of community service. After failing to fulfill the hours he was sent to jail until March of that year.
After being released Gucci wasted no time and went right back to work on his album “The State Vs. Radric Davis”, which is suppose to drop on Decemburr 8th, 2009. This all fell apart and at the wrong time, Gucci Mane was really at the pinnacle of his career. He has been featured on a ton of hit tracks notably Mariah Carey’s - Obsessed, but on the flip side he may be released early (6 months early).
According to an MTV interview Gucci Says, “It was a challenge for me,” he told MTV News in March about going to jail. “I’m just happy my team kept my music going strong for me. And I’m happy I recorded so many records so people could hear me.”
So let us all hope for the best, the Gucci Mane fans off course, and hopefully he will be out soon!
