What was the hip hop scene like for you growing up?
Dad was a dj so music was always a big part of everyday. When I was young in the 90s NYC was the capital of hip hop. Rhyming was second nature.
What was the hip hop scene like for you growing up?
Locally… Ehhhhh some backpack rappers off that heiroglyphics and living legends tip. Then we also had the gangster rap heavy out here, Portland is on the west coast. It’s kinda funny tho cause bigger niggas from Cali (California) used to kick up here tough and recruit… Uhhh various talent lol. Mac dre and cbo used to be up in the town tough but those days are long gone.
What makes you different from other rappers out now?
Man… That’s a good question. I guess my ability, or should I say willingness to do whatever the f?@c I want. If I wanna sing a little I does it. If I want to do some pop or some electro shit I does it. If I wanna do some hood shit or swag shit I does that to. I’ve had quite an interesting journey and for anyone to tell me I’m not real or call me a sellout can kiss my ass. I’m doin me and I like all kinds of music despite how I live, or may have once lived, my life. Swagger dat
Tell us about past and current projects?
Man where to begin lol. So the most noticeable projects are probably my mixtapes. I’ve done 3, ‘what would Picasso do’ ‘something like Dali’ and ‘van gogh.’ those tapes have had the most reach but I’ve put out some small ep’s and singles along the way as well. I’m currently workin on another tape with Dj pAin1 hosting. Shit is lookin bananas so far. Really pleases with direction and the folks getting behind it. Lookin to make a huge dent in the industries forehead with this one lol.
