It appears that the Game has decided to go the spiritual route for his new album by changing the name of his new album to Jesus Piece. He spoke to VIBE about why he changed it and the meaning behind the new name. The LP is currently set to be released at the end of 2012.
“Trey Songz came with his album Chapter V, and of course 50 had 5 (Murder by Numbers), I just felt like I should jump off that wagon. So I went back into the studio and started doing songs that leaned more towards the title. I think people gon’ appreciate the concept once they hear the music.”
I’m a Christian but I’m not ‘holier than thou’. Jesus Piece gives me an opportunity to speak about situations that people like me who love God but are still street and still wanna remain themselves without going the Pastor Mase route. It gives the opportunity to know that it’s somebody out there that feels them.”

In a tragic event that took place this morning, at least 10 people were shot in front of the Empire State Building in New York.
According to the folks at CNN:
A suspect in the shooting was shot and killed by police, New York police said.
Authorities converged on the building around 9 a.m. after reports of gunfire.
A witness told CNN’s Rose Arce that the gunman ran after and shot a man in the head. An unarmed guard chased the gunman away, the witness told Arce.

Police are on the scene of a shooting at the Empire State Building in New York City this morning. Details are very limited at this time, but witnesses say they heard multiple shots just before 9 a.m. and that three people have been wounded.

The shooting happened near the intersection of 33rd Street and Fifth Avenue. There is a large police presence on the scene.

Big Sean has officially announced the release date for an upcoming mixtape entitled Detroit dropping on September 5th. He put together a little promo clip in support of his latest tape. Lil Wayne dropped the official artwork to his highly anticipated Dedication 4 mixtape hosted by yours truly, DJ Drama. The artwork is designed by DEWeezy fan, Jesse Diebolt. The project was initially supposed to drop yesterday but has been pushed back to next week.

Meek Mill upcoming Dreams & Nightmares album was supposed to drop this end of August but unfortunately that’s delayed. Meek took to his Twitter to announce that his album will now be dropping October 30th.
