Getting help from family? Snoop Lion gets assistance from his own daughter Cori B and YMCMB rapper Drake for his new joint “No Guns Allowed”. Drake does the verse while Cori B brings in the vocal assistance in a track set to appear on Snoop’s forthcoming album “Reincarnated”.
The groove is produced by Major Lazer, Ariel Rechtshaid and Dre Skull. Gun violence and how it has affected the society is the subject of discussion on the track. “Bullets do not choose a victim, it is the shooter that picks ‘em/They just can’t wait to get you in the system, the district attorney can use a conviction,” spits Drake while Snoop chants “Let the music play, me now want more gunplay, when the bodies hit the ground, there’s nothing left to say”.
With the incidences of gun violence escalating around the U.S. this track serves as a good reminder of how this social evil is quickly eating into the society. Meanwhile, Reincarnated should be hitting the stores on April 23rd, 2013. Apparently the movie is already in theatres so keep your ears wide open for the album launch. For now, listen to No Guns Allowed here on ELHH.com
