Seems like Jay-Z and Kanye thought that 9 times in L.A. wasn’t impressive enough. The Throne played their last show last night in Vancouver, Canada and performed “N**as In Paris” a whopping 11 times…Oh gosh.

Jay-Z and Timbaland are being taken to court for their track “Big Pimpin”, from back in 2000 by the children of Bollywood composer, Baligh Hamdy. The track is actually from a sample of  “Khosara, Khosara,”  which it seems they only had the “economic rights” for and they needed the express permission from the Hamdy children to use the sample. Earlier this month, a federal judge ruled that the copyright case will go to trial. The judge wants to determine whether or not Jay-Z profited from the “Big Pimpin” track during his live shows.

“There is no record evidence that Jay-Z used ‘Big Pimpin’’ in his advertisements for a particular concert or concert series, or that ‘Big Pimpin’’ was performed at every concert,” wrote US District Judge Christina Snyder in her December 9th ruling.

“It is a question of fact whether Jay-Z’s concert revenues should be considered direct or indirect…it is up to a jury to decide,” she added. “Accordingly, the court finds that there is a triable issue whether Jay-Z’s concert revenues constitute direct profits from his infringing live performances ‘Big Pimpin’’ for purposes of the Copyright Act.”

What do you all think of this?

Jay-Z sat down with the good people of MTV and spoke his mind on J. Cole‘s Grammy nomination. Here is what he had to say:

“I think it’s great for him, because I’m sure it’s a dream of his. We grew up seeing Michael Jackson, and I’m sure he grew up seeing whatever moment stuck in his mind, so I know it’s great for him to do that,” Hov told MTV News following a press conference announcing a pair of charitable shows at Carnegie Hall in New York. “I think he’s already won Best New Artist, to me. His journey is what I’m really excited about.”

That’s right! It was only a matter of time that the Throne made visuals to the track they play repeatedly at every concert. Video is apparently being directed by Kanye himself in the Los Angeles area.

And so it happened last night, in LA, that Jay-Z and Kanye West broke their previous record in Chicago and performed “N***gas in Paris” 9 times in a row.

Jay-Z sat down with the great folks of MTV and stated that there could be another possible Jay album, Kanye album and Watch The Throne album next year.

“It depends on how this thing finishes up,” Jay said in reference to his and Kanye’s current Watch the Throne Tour. “We — I say ‘we’ because I’m in Throne mode — we’re in a great place creatively. You might see a Jay, then Kanye and a Throne album next year. You know, we’re really in a great place creatively. We really found our zone.”

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘N***as In Paris’, notably known as the track that they play repetitively on their tour, definitely is loved by many gaining them some traction on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, jumping them from the 15th spot to the 8th. This marks a milestone for both the Watch The Throne duo and for Jay-Z, making him the rapper with the most songs in the Top 10 in history beating artists Lil Wayne and Ludacris current title of 17 tracks each.
