NEW HIP HOP MUSIC

As usual, Lil Wayne always has plenty of music in the works. Last night, we learnt that Weezy recorded a new potential album called Devol (Loved), based on love songs he wrote in prison.
In another clip that you can check out via LWHQ from the season premiere of MTV Hip Hop POV, Lil Wayne reveals that his next release will be I Am Not A Human Being 2 after recently renewing a 4 album deal with Cash Money Records. He also hinted that the LP will have 16 cuts on it.

Last night, MTV aired its new series Hip Hop POV at midnight which is hosted by five of the music industry’s most respected tastemakers and personalities. Amanda Seales of MTV interviewed Lil Wayne as part of the show and was able to hear some new music in Miami that Wayne recorded while he was locked up.
The name of the album is Devol (“Loved” spelled backwards) which is his version of love songs. However, Weezy didn’t mention it being released anytime soon.

The other day, Lil Wayne‘s entourage was accused of attacking a photographer last week in Miami, Florida. According to the folks at TMZ, the photographer filed a police report claiming that he was pushed to the ground in the rain by the crew and that they also trashed his bicycle.
It all began when the photographer spotted Weezy and his crew skateboarding outside of a church in a zone prohibiting skateboarding. After taking a few flicks, the photographer says that they packed up after it began to rain. He followed them to their car while taking pictures, but Weezy ordered his collective to take the man’s camera. Eight men surrounded him and intimidated him into deleting several pics.
One of Wayne’s associates then spat on him and another pushed him to the ground. The crew also beat up his bicycle with a skateboard. After escaping, the photographer went to the Miami Beach Police Station and filed the report.

Drizzy Drake takes us on a journey back to his Jewish Roots on his latest visual to his smash single, “HYFR (Hell Ya F***in’ Right)” featuring Lil Wayne. The video takes place at the Temple Israel in Miami at depicts Drake’s Bar Mitzvah. Track is also off Drake’s latest and Platinum album, Take Care. The usual suspects of Birdman, DJ Khaled, Mack Maine, and Trey Songz make appearances in the wild festive party directed by fellow Toronto-native, Little X. Mazal Tov!

Lil Wayne has been cited for tall grass and weeds at his Kenner, La. mansion and on that note, decided to sell it for a whopping $1.7 million. Apparently the rapper received similar citations back in 2007 and 2008. C’mon Weezy F!

Lil Skateboard Wayne kicked off his Mountain Dew #DeWeezy campaign last night at SXSW festival in Austin. Weezy performed about an hour long set of his hits and brought out some of his YMCMB artists.
